After completing a BA Hons Degree in 3/D Design, specialising in Ceramics and Glass (UK),
Lynn further trained in Italy, where she completed a glass apprenticeship with Vetrate Artistiche Toscane, in Siena, Tuscany.
More recently she has enjoyed time studying and working on her own projects at Bullseye Glass in San Francisco, CA and Portland, OR.
Since settling in New Zealand 12 years ago, her glass and mixed-media artworks have been selected for various exhibitions,
including New Zealand’s National Contemporary Fibre Art Awards, where she has won several awards in recent years.
Working primarily with kiln formed glass and metals, Lynn combines her expertise in glass with her mutual interests in drawing, print and textiles. She creates highly original glass artworks which are clearly informed by her love of the raw material.
Living in proximity to the ocean and estuaries has opened up a whole new source of inspiration for me.
I find that I draw on the dramatic and constantly changing elements of land and water.
I'm especially drawn to that in-between place, where land and water meet.
